Industry support for the Sleapy’s Foundation
This week, our Business Development and Operational teams had the privilege of participating in the 2023 John Hunter Health & Innovation Precinct Fundraising Golf Day on behalf of Sleapy’s Foundation.
This memorable event, which took place at Merewether Golf Course, was made possible through the invitation extended by Multiplex as part of our involvement in the new $835 million John Hunter Hospital Health and Infrastructure Project (JHHIP).
The event brought together industry leaders for a day of golfing excellence in support of Sleapy’s Foundation, a charity organisation set up by Former South Newcastle rugby league winger Peter Sleap and his wife Robynn, tackling cancer & adversity.
The invitation allowed us at Interspan to make a meaningful contribution to the event’s success by sponsoring a hole on the course.
Unfortunately, the golf played by the Interspan team was not on par with the gesture.
Interspan’s involvement in the project is the design and construction of over 100,000m^2 of post-tension works, which includes a seven-storey Acute Services Building, rooftop helipad and more than 900 additional car spaces for staff and visitors, as well as the supply and installation of superior temporary movement joint solutions. The design and site team will be engaged in the project until the end of the year.
The John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct is due for completion in 2026.
