We are pleased to announce Paul Whelan as the Group Managing Director at Interspan.
Paul joins our team with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and will oversee all aspects of our business, ensuring future growth and opportunities are achieved whilst ensuring the successes of previous years are maintained and surpassed.
Paul started his career in construction in 1999 in Ireland and has gained extensive experience in the concrete construction sector as an Engineer, Project Manager and Director.
Paul held various management positions before relocating to the UK, where he progressed his career, finally to become Construction Director at Byrne Bros Formwork Ltd in the UK (part of Byrne Group).
As Group Managing Director, Paul will work closely with the Founders, James Laws and Don Fraser, to continue growing the Interspan business in Australia, the UK, Ireland, Europe and the Middle East.
Founders Don Fraser and James Laws said:
“It is a pleasure to welcome Paul to the Interspan family, and we look forward to working closely with him as we build on Interspan’s position as a global leader in post-tensioned concrete. In particular, Paul will be looking to grow the business as he works to execute our strategic growth plan over the coming years.”
James also added:
“Having spent over 7 years working personally with Paul as a client, I feel very excited about his decision to join the Interspan group. Over the past 18 months, we have all suffered personally from the impact of the Global pandemic; we feel however very positive about the future and the global construction outlook, but we do recognise the need to engage with our markets and clients in a different way. We feel that Paul’s introduction will assist Interspan in achieving its strategic goals and transition through the next phase of growth.”
