Post-tension slabs for Storage King Granville

Interspan recently completed works on this four-storey self-storage facility for Storage King, located at 1 Woodville Rd, Granville, NSW. 

Once complete, this impressive complex will contain self-storage units, office space, and retail space.

The Patterson Building Group engaged Interspan for the works.

Post-tension slabs

The scope of work undertaken by Interspan included the design and construction of over 7,500 m2 of post-tensioned slabs across three storeys. 

Interspan Expertise

Interspan’s in-house design team utilized advanced software packages such as RAM Concept and RAPT, augmenting their post-tension design experience to deliver optimal results while ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.

One notable aspect of the project was the supply and installation of 210 horizontal sleeves to core walls and 184 vertical sleeves to long walls below to mitigate the effects of slab restraint. This attention to detail and strategic approach contributed significantly to the project’s success.

The project also featured very large pours, including some double live tendons over 50m long.

The post-tension works commenced in June 2023, were completed by October 2023, and met tight timelines without compromising quality.
