JRL Group engaged with Interspan’s UK team to design and construct the post-tension slab works.
Plot A7 is located on the Slate Yard Residential Development in New Bailey, Salford. The luxury 21-storey tower is the third phase of a £30 million project collectively known as The Slate Yard.
The application of post-tension allowed the architect’s vision of an innovative design to be achieved ed by using thinner slabs than would have been possible using traditional methods. The scheme consisted of 250mm thick slabs for a total area of 14,650m2 and required a unique design on each level given the varying balcony locations. The completed scheme comprises 199 total apartments, which offer 24-hour customer service, a residents’ lounge, a car club and a gym, as well as flexible rental contracts.
